What are the Sunnah procedures before visiting the patient

 When visiting the patient, 

  أَسْأَلُ اللهَ العَظِيْمَ رَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ أَنْ يَّشْفِيَكَ

first recite this dua seven times and the patient and the attendants say Amin

Then recite this dua or comfort the patient by saying its meaning-

لاَ بَاْسَ طَهُوْرٌ اِنْ شَاءَ اللهَ

     Meaning - no problem;  Inshallah he will recover.  Then put your hand on your forehead and say, how are you?  Then it is Sunnah to recite this Dua-

اَذْهِبِ الْبَاْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ وَاشفِ اَنْتَ الشَّافِيْ لاَ شِفَاءَ اِلاَّ شِفَاءُكَ لاَ يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا

      It is Sunnah to comfort the sick person and to give encouraging words. It is Sunnah to return early after seeing the patient, so that he and the attendants are not inconvenienced.  There is no prohibition in Shariah to consume halal medicines;  Rather, there is a command.  Do not force the patient to eat.  Do not use forbidden things in medicine.  Do not use amulets, charms, blowing, witchcraft, etc. against Shariat.
